What data we gather

Club members are invited to register for the club newsletter by providing their name and email address. No other personal data is requested or required. The newsletter mailing list is managed and secured by Mail Chimp, a widely recognised and industry leading mailing system. The club has agreed to the privacy policy outlined on this page.

How we use this data

This data is stored on the club website is to allow members to access “members only” sections of the website (As of this date there is no members section of the website). These sections include, but are not limited to, a newsletter archive page and club documents page. We also use the information to send regular mailings to members, via the Mail Chimp service as outlined above.

Additionally, we track website visits for traffic analysis as outlined in the “Cookies” section below.

A cookie is a small file placed on your computer, which enables us to identify your computer as you visit different pages on the club website for website analysis only.

How we use cookies
  • They allow us to identify whether you are signed in to the club website should we create one. At the present time we do not have a secure members login.
  • They allow us to analyse website traffic, which we use to determine how our website is performing, which pages are attracting the most traffic, and to optimise the experience for users.

Cookies do not allow us to access your computer, or to store any information about you, other than that which you choose to provide.

Information provided to the club via website registration, or sent via our contact form, will be held securely in accordance with the current GDPR regulations. It will never be distributed to third parties without your express permission.

Deleting your personal information

Should you wish your registration information to be removed from the club website, or from our mailing list provider, we will do so upon request. Please note that all mailings via “Mail Chimp” contain a link to unsubscribe the recipient from our list.
