The 34th Annual Dinner for the Past Lady Captains took place on the 11th March. As is tradition this was organised by the outgoing Past Captain, Margaret Hancock, with the outgoing Ladies Captain, Chris Byron, being invited as our guest. 16 attended this year and it was great to be able to meet up with some we hadn’t seen for a while. Sadly we were without a past Captain & former Ladies President, Shirley Best, and a minutes silence was held to remember her. After the excellent meal we were entertained by ‘story time’ where some tell a story and others a joke. The outgoing Captain was then presented with her Past Captain’s badge.
A thoroughly enjoyable evening.
