Nigel Tucker’s 3 year old daughter Niamh was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia on the 4th January 2019 after becoming extremely unwell in the space of a few days. The following day Niamh was transferred by ambulance from the Royal Cornwall Hospital to Bristol Children’s Hospital.
With their world in an absolute spin the care and support Niamh, Mummy & Daddy received over the next four weeks from the doctors, nurses & consultants was amazing. Their 5 year old daughter Olivia remained in Cornwall thanks to the wonderful support of both sets of grandparents.
While they were in Bristol they were visited by Nigels brother in law and in a moment of madness decided to run their 1st Marathon in Scotland!
They are running the marathon to raise money for a wonderful hospital and the amazing staff on the Starlight Ward and at the same time it will be a fantastic personal achievement for Nigel.
Take a look at Nigel’s Just Giving Page and please donate anything you can for this great cause
