St Austell Rotary Club Charity Day – Sun 27th Aug 2017

The winning score on this very hot day was 128 points (10 under!).

Shield Environmental, consisting of Ollie Brokenshire, Rhys Julian, Andy Rees  and St Austell member Paul Kendall.

In 2nd place, South Westerly Windbreaks, who unfortunately lost out by one shot, scored 129 points. Steve & Ben Pill (+2), Matt Chadwick & Leon Knight.

GM Computer Systems came in 3rd, a late entry sponsored by the Treasurer of St Austell Bay Rotary club Martin Poad who scored a decent 131 points. Team comprised St Austell members Tracey & Andy Peers and John Walker with Steve Martin from Carlyon Bay.

4th place went to Go Jute , with 132 points, winning on the back nine.  Club Captain Gary Warren, young Ewan Warren shooting 71 in the scratch comp, Club Pro Tony Pitts(+2) & Alan Lund.

5th and final place was  Scott Snelling, John Richards, Malcolm Sutton & Pete Clarricoats representing Blackler  Snelling also with 132 points.

There were several spot prizes, 2 sweep, putting competition, guess the balls in the bag and a Scratch prize.

St Austell Bay Rotary club presented a cheque to Mrs Margaret Geake of Cornwall Hospice Care for £3,500 pounds after the golf presentation.

The Rotary club would like to thank all the players who took part and their very generous sponsors.
