We have todays started felling the trees between the 1st & 18th and between the 5th & 6th. The Pine trees have become very dangerous in high winds and have come to the end of their life.
We would like to plant trees in these areas, and around the course to bring a little variety and colour to the course.
When the course was redeveloped many years ago we did allow members to provide trees on the top right of the 12th.
I do remember that Pat Butcher provided the Monkey Tree that is still there today. One of our new members Peter Heather suggested that member’s may wish to sponsor trees. The trees will be supplied by Pengelly Nursery and will vary in cost.
Steve Omlo together with Pengelly Nursery will oversee the suitability and planting of the trees around the course.
So if you would like to sponsor a tree please can you enter your interest on the notice board in the club house as planting will begin very shortly…
