The return match took place at St Austell today with 12 pairs a side this time. Having lost 7-2 away in June we had a bit to do to win back the Trophy. Sadly it was not to be and despite some close matches we lost 8 1/2 – 3 1/2.
The Mixed Maul Trophy headed back to West Cornwall until next year.
The Match was followed, however, with an excellent carvery from our chef Nathan so a good day in the end. Our visitors praised the green staff for the excellent condition of the course and the service from the bar & catering staff. Huge thanks must also go to Keira for the efficient running of the whole day.
